Cosimo Commisso shares some travel tips for exploring France’s gem, Saint-Tropez
Nothing sounds more heavenly than “a coastal town on the French Riviera.” That’s Saint-Tropez. And if you’re one of those unlucky souls who haven’t yet had the chance to visit this dreamy destination, make sure you do! If you’re considering taking flight to this artistically charged corner of France, I’ve whipped up a list of travel tips that should make your life a bit easier while planning and adventuring.
If it’s luxury you’re looking for, use rental company Saint-Tropez House. Saint-Tropez House boasts the biggest portfolio of properties in Saint-Tropez (more than 100 houses and villas). You can buy, sell or rent with them, and it gets even better: they offer limousine and luxury car service, helicopter and private jet transfers, yacht charters and other indulgences that could let your stay come full circle.
Pick the perfect time to go. Saint-Tropez is in its prime during July and August, and while prices are obviously jacked up during that time, it’ll be worth the investment to fully experience the glamour of the area’s peak season.
Set aside some time to experience the art. Saint-Tropez is known as a world capital of modern art. There’s an abundance of galleries in the area, and while it would be ideal for you to scratch them all off your list, be sure to visit at least one. Galerie des Lices is a great place to start.
If you plan on hitting the sand and surf, head to Nikki Beach. This gorgeous and world-famous beach is the only one you’ll need to visit while in Saint-Tropez. Whether you plan on spending just one or every day of your trip in the sand, make sure you catch some rays here.
The party is at Les Caves du Roy. Nightclubbing might not be on your list of things to do in Saint-Tropez, but if it is, Les Caves du Roy is where you want to go. It’s by far the area’s hottest nightclub in one of the area’s most prestigious hotels, Byblos. Obviously, make sure you’re dressed to the nines if you plan on stepping foot in this place.
